Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, or IASTM, or "graston" is a specialized manual therapy technique that uses metal handheld tools to glide or scrape over the skin and help break down fascial restrictions and/or scar tissue. This technique is especially effective for treating chronic muscle tightness, post-injury scar tissue, tendinopathies, and areas of poor mobility. By stimulating the body’s natural healing response, IASTM can improve range of motion, decrease pain, and support faster recovery.
